SITE VISITS - TUESDAY, 14 OCTOBER 2025
The buses will depart the Radisson Blu Upperhill at 1 pm on Tuesday, the 14th October, and return at 5 pm. The total driving time is 2 hours and 45 minutes, with 4 stops visited for 20 minutes each.
Facilitators will ride the buses to describe the areas through which the drive is passing and the details.

STOP 1
Chiromo Property, Akon Student Accommodation, comprising both Quetu (www.qwetu.co.ke) and Qejani (www.qejani.co.ke)

Many might remember Zima Homes’ presentation to the AUHF Shark Room session, a few years ago. Now come see the development in real life! Homes is a housing developer in Kenya committed to delivering sustainable, cost-effective, and inclusive urban housing. Established with the mission to bridge the gap between housing demand and financial accessibility for Nairobi’s working-class families, ZIMA focuses on young professionals, small families, and mid-sized households. ZIMA is leveraging modular prefabrication, recycled materials, and energy-efficient design, and is a leader in green, affordable urban housing.

Muzi Stawi, MiVida, Garden City www.muzi-stawi.co.ke
International Housing Solutions – Kenya (IHS Kenya) has partnered with Mi Vida to develop Muzi Stawi, a project of 200 green, affordable, rental housing units at Nairobi’s Garden City. The Muzi Stawi development features 1- and 2-bedroom apartments and has received EDGE Advanced Certification for its significant energy, water, and embodied carbon savings. IHS is a new member of the AUHF, joined this year, and IFC (the owner of EDGE) has been a member for some time.
STOP 4
14Trees Showhouse https://www.14trees.com
Visit the 1st IFC EDGE Advanced 3D-printed building in the world, developed by an AUHF member, 14Trees. Located in Nairobi, Kenya, this model house made history as the world’s first 3D-printed building to achieve IFC EDGE Advanced certification, showcasing impressive performance metrics. These include a 42% reduction in energy consumption, a 24% decrease in water usage during the construction process, and a remarkable 69% decrease in embodied energy in materials.
