Upon arrival​​​

        • All travelers arriving in Rwanda must have a negative COVID-19 certificate. ​​
        • All travelers arriving in Rwanda must complete the passenger locator form and upload the COVID-19 test certificate before heading to the airport. ​​​
        • Travelers will be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival at the airport and the payment of 60 USD (50USD for covid-19 test and 10USD for specific logistics to the airport) will be done as per the indications of the passenger locator form. ​​​
        • All travelers are required to wait 24 hours for the results of their COVID-19 test taken upon arrival in a designated transit hotel. All COVID-19 prevention measures announced by the Ministry of Health must be respected during waiting period​ ​​

Upon departure​​​

        • All travelers departing from Rwanda must test negative for COVID-19. ​ ​​
        • Travelers are not allowed to go to the airport without negative COVID-19 PCR test results​​​​
        • If travelers test results are positive for COVID-19 (even if asymptomatic) while in Rwanda, they will be treated as indicated in the National Covid-19 Management Guidelines until they have fully recovered, at their own cost. ​​​​

Event Covid protocols:​​​​

        • PCOs and Event Venue Owners must ensure that 30% room/space capacity is respected for gatherings at any event premises in line with maintaining social distancing regulations.​​​
        • In-person registration on the day of the event will be limited to 10% of the total number of delegates for in-person (Physical) events. ​

Implications and risks for AUHF conference and delegation: ​​​​​

        • Additional costs for delegates and traveling API and AUHF staff – covid tests etc ​
        • 24hr ‘quarantine’ protocol might deter delegates and / or result in an issue if delegates not staying at Marriot ​
        • Additional costs which have not been budgeted to date for Covid protocols at event venue ​ ​
        • Risks of travelling event attendee contracting Covid-19 whilst in Rwanda and having to then quarantine there ​​
        • 30% room/space capacity / social distancing regulations will limit the amount of in person attendees we can have​
